Darwin and Vishnu - The Evolution

"It is not the strongest of the species that survive , nor the most intelligent survives. It is one one most adaptable to change." ~ Charles Darwin

Evolution - Change!
A change is all what we need. Change in Generations, change in periods , change in ages  , change in thoughts. It is well said that to survive in this world a change is must and is the most required. The one who changes with the present circumstances , the one who matures with time is the wisest of all. If we say Nature , it grows with time and with conditions that is offered to it. If a plant needs to grow fruits it will transform itself into a tree that produce the same and needful. Therefore it is must to change and mature with time to survive in this gigantic world, where we have a very small existence.

In this post we will surely talk about evolution - The Theory of Charles Darwin compared with the Dashavatar concept of Lord Vishnu.

Darwin and Dashavtar - Comparison

It is said that when this earth was created small micro-organisms started appearing on this planet which slowly evoluted into more complex organisms and structure , but this fact was strongly opposed by mythology.

However , we can find a strong relation between The Theory of Evolution by Darwin and the Dashavatar of Lord Vishnu.

RELATIONSHIP

The Incarnations or Avatars of human being in Indian Mythology have been recorded in various granthas and holy books of Hinu culture. They have also been recorded by the sages our other primitive men that occured in that period or span of time. The order of the incarnations or avatars are perfectly into tune with the theory of evolution stated by Charles Darwin. For this reason Hinduism is commonly reffered to as scientifically proven religion. 24 Avatars or incarnations has been discussed in Bhagwad Purana , But we shall take only ten major avatars that show perfect humar evolution.

Charles Darwin (Ist Stage of species) : According to Darwin's Theory the first form of life on earth appeared in water as aquatic life in Cambrian Period. These were basic organisms that could live only in water.

Dashavatar (Ist Incarnation) : The first form of avatar of Vishnu that is Matsya Avatar (fish) is shown as an aquatic living being. It took form to save the vedas from demons under the water. This was similar to Darwins first stage of species.

Charles Darwin ( IInd Stage of species): According to Darwin the next form tranform itself into an amphibian which could live both under water and on land.

Dashavatar (IInd Incarnation) : The second form of Vishnu is a Turtle called (Kurma Avatar) which is an amphibian. This gives the relation between this and second stage of species according to Darwin. This avatar was taken in samudra manthan.

Charles Darwin (IIIrd stage of species) : In the third stage, Darwin explain the growing and birth of terrestrial beings such as pigs, dogs etc. The living beings could now survive only on land and not water.

Dashavatar (IIIrd Incarnation) : In this, Vishnu takes form of a wild pig ( a terrestrial being). This avatar was called Varah Avatar. This resembles to Darwin's third stage. This incarnation was taken to rescue earth from drowning.

Charles Darwin (IVth stage of species) : The fourth stage refers to transformation to semi- humans that could give a link between animals and humans.

Dashavatar ( IVth Incarnation) : The fourth form depicts Half man Half Lion called Narsimha Avatar which gives evidence of Darwin's fourth stage of species. It was taken to help devotee Prahlad.

Narsihma Avatar - Vishnu

Charles Darwin (Vth stage of species) : Appearance of Neanderthals ( Dwarf men ) they were complete humans but were short in height. The knowledge and capabilities increased.

Baman Avatar - Vishnu
Dashavatar (Vth Incarnation) : The fifth avatar was Baman Avatar.  A dwarf man with great knowledge and intellectual power. This marked intelligence in human beings.

Charles Darwin ( VIth stage of species) : Men started civilising and using weapons like axe for food , clothes , and shelter. The men were more offensive.

Dashavatar (VIth Incarnation) : The sixth incarnation of Vishnnu was more civilised and intelligent. He was named 'Parshuram' and can be easily related with Darwin's sixth stage of species.

Parshuram Avatar - Vishnu

Charles Darwin (VIIth stage of species) : Good concious humans , more sophisticated and intelligent. Started using bow and arrows as weapons. They started living in small villages and communities.

Dashavatar (VIIth Incarnation) : The moral man Ram.  Perfect human. Man to be inspired off.

Rama Avatar - Vishnu

Charles Darwin (VIIIth stage of species) :Period of advanced human civilization. Growth of literature.

Dashavatar (VIIIth Incarnation) : Krishna who gave Bhagwad gita and was instructor of the whole world.

Krishna Avatar - Vishnu
Charles Darwin (IXth stage of species) : The Human bent more towards religion. The age of self realisation and inner enlightenment.

Dashavatar(IXth Incarnation) : Lord Buddha. The spiritual man. Found out way to moksha (Salvation) and self realisation.

Buddha Avatar - Vishnu
Charles Darwin (Xth stage of species) : God Realization. Self resurrection.

Dashavatar (Xth Incarnation): A holocaust and terminator. Born to end the whole life and re-built new one.

Kalki Avatar - Vishnu
