The Spiritual Triad- Tridev

In Indian Mythology, the life of a human being is divided into three stages : Birth , Growth and Death. These Bifurcations is not only in how we see life but also which Devi/ Devtas controls it.
According to indian mythology, The Tridev i.e Brahma , Vishnu and Mahesh controls these three different departments or stages in beings life.

Unlike other religions where there is ONE GOD CONCEPT ( like Jesus in Christianity , Mohammad in Islam ) in Hinduism we see different gods and goddesses which symbolically represents different quality of life.
ONE GOD CONCEPT
We will talk about the three major devtas of Hinduism

Brahma : The Creator
Vishnu : The Presever
Mahesh : The Destroyer


        

BRAHMA : THE CREATOR


He is called the 'creator' for the major that he creates everything present on the earth. Even the earth is created by him. Starting from a small micro specie to a large and enormous living being, everything is created by Brahma.

It is also  said that Brahma gave birth to the the first man and woman i.e  Manu and shatrupa respectively. He created  the Dakshas that were the power to rule the earth. He gave birth to civilisations or sabhyata that would help living beings to enjoy and facilitate their lives. He gave birth to to Vansapatis or plants that are immortal.

Brahma created three worlds or lokas :

Indralok or swarg (Heaven)
Mrityulok (Earth)
Patalok (Hell)

INDRALOK 
It was meant for devtas and was a pure paradise where flow rivers of milk and vine. Females are beautiful as nature and men so attractive . The indralok or swarg is ruled by Indra. The common people are offered this heaven according to thier good or bad deeds throughout their life. It is place with purity , peace and happiness.

MRITYULOK
It is the world of the common man. A place where people live , worship god and spend their lives. Brahma created Dakshas for ruling this world.

PATALOK
The World of 'demons'. It was the place where Rakshasas (evil power lived). It is said that there are rivers of blood and demons eat flesh of human beings. It is ruled by Rakshas.

BRAHMA : SOURCE OF KNOWLEDGE
Brahma is always associated with knowledge and enlightenment. He is the god considered to be major source of gyan (knowledge).
He is married to Saraswati , Goddess of knowledge. His body represents knowledge symbolically. His four head represents Vedas and long beard represents age and experience. He sits on a lotus that defines peace and purity.

NO WORSHIP FOR BRAHMA
Brahma is the least worshipped god in Hinduism. Being the reason of shrap ( curse ) by Shiva.

Vishnu : The Preserver

Vishnu represents the aspect of supreme reality that preserves and sustain the universe. He reminds his devotees to live in this world with kindness and compassion towards all living beings. Lord Vishnu teaches people to show love ans respect to our own self and all people. Basically show the living in Mrityulok.

Vishnu is also represented as preserver and has the duty of preserving his devotees from various problems and also destroy the demons to make the atmosphere of world beings. To accomplish this task Vishnu is always seen taking different avatar (forms and incarnations) and coming to mrityulok to actually experience people's problems and solve it by any means. 

The Dashavatar tale of Vishnu is a very famous one. In this we remind each big and small avtar taken by Vishnu to preserve people in different circumstances and situations of life. DASH means ten and Avatar means incarnations, Ten incarnations of Vishnu. Each avatar has its own meaning in itself and its own significance and principles that depends on the situation of time when avatar is born.

SYMBOL OF CONTENTMENT


The Lord Vishnu in hindu mythology symbolises contentment in every form. He teaches us about how to live in this world. The vajyatimala (garland) in his neck symbolises seasons that he controls all the seasons. The chakra defines creativity and mental strenght that he carries beautifull to carve out an excellent way of living. The Gadha is a weapon and symbolises his physical strenght which helps him to fight aginst demons and make the earth full of peace which is his main motto. The kamal is a symbol is purity and divinity which makes vishnu a perfect soul. The Chaturbhuja (four arms) represents four directions and vedic geography.

WORSHIP

People worship Lord Vishnu for peace , happiness and prosperity in their lives. They see him as a life saviour which will come and help them in any kind of situation or circumstance in life. 

People worship him offering him fresh flowers , fruits and food. In Indian mythology while worshiping the devta is considered as a guest is offered each comfort that a guest would expect off. In the same way Vishnu is welcomed given food,a place in home (usually called mandir) offered sweet smell usually by agarbatti's.

People follow various shrines and temples for making Lord Vishnu happy. The Char Dham Yatra is particularly famous for worshipping lord vishnu.

Mahesh : The Destroyer


Shiva or Mahesh is considered to be the destoryer of this earth at the time of pralay (qayamat). He is one of the gods which make Mrityulok free from impurities by vanishing everything present for a new start. He loves dance and music and is also worshipped as lord of various art forms such as Natraj for dance. He lives in forest and is away from materialism that exist in mrityulok.

He is the only one out of this triad who owns a family. His family includes his wife parvati and two sons Ganesha (the elephant headed god) and Kartikeya. Some texts also gives information about his daughter Ashoksundari. He is reffered as Vairagi who needs nothing for a living . He teaches us a Simple form of living without any materialism.

ROMANTIC LIFE

Shiva's Story is very much occupied by his love story that actually relates to manav and prakriti milan concept. The prakriti in form of Sati and then Parvati marry shiva makes him complete as a living . It signifies that nature is very important in man life and it makes it perfectly complete. The basic idea behind this story is to explain us the assets that nature provide us in various forms and makes us complete. So,conserve Nature and make it your love life.
