Brahmastra - Technological Evidence?

The Indian Mythology is half the way covered by fights and rivalries. Famous stories in Ramayana and Mahabharata give many fascinating concepts of wars of mythological period. In these stories, the fact that is usually found common is rivalry is between the Devas and Datyas. Many strong men involved in these wars , used high levels of weapons that gave supreme levels of destruction to both men and nature.

War - Mahabharta 

Weapons that were used in wars and fights of mythological period were highly advanced and much more scientific. Many of them is many times compared with today's weapons and instruments that were used in wars like World War I and II. In mythological time, weapons were usually referred as internal powers that were either gifted by god or were developed by harsh meditation.

Brahmastra - The Supreme Weapon  

Brahmastra , has been mentioned in various big epics of Indian Mythology like Ramayana and Mahabharata. It has been seen used by very powerful men like Arjuna and Ravana who got it from meditating the name Brahma. The weapon produced huge mass of destruction to both life and property. The Brahmastra was used in these contexts:

Maharishi Vishvamitra used it on Rishi Vashishta.

Indrajit used it on Rama's brother Laxmana in Ramayana. Even he couldn't survive brahmastra. 

Rama used it again emperor Ravana.

In Mahabharata , Bhishma used it against Parshurama.

In Mahabharata, Karna neutralized the brahmastra used by Arjuna.

Brahmastra - An Atomic weapon?

The modern scientific discoveries and inventions are many times used to explain the various events happened in the vedic period. The atomic bomb which is developed by J Robert Oppenheimer is many times compared by Brahmastra of Indian mythology. The after effects of Brahmastra and Atomic Bomb are almost same. The amount of radiation produced by atomic weapon is same as brahmastra. In many contexts of vedic granthas after use of Brahmastra it is written that people used to fed their nails and hair. They would start having birth disorders same as an Atomic Bomb.
